CSHA President’s Letter – Summer 2009 |
|
April was a big month for the Coating Society of the Houston Area. It is raining as I write this, and so I am reminded of the 2009 Trade Show and the untimely deluge that hit during the peak hours of the show. This year’s event was a big success and has given us some breathing space financially. We now have enough cash in the bank to carry us into the Fall activity schedule. Whew.. To all those that bought a booth and all those that worked so hard to make the Trade Show successful and fun, thank you. You can not beat this event for coating industry networking, good food and good times. The May meeting was our Past-President’s night and was awesome. We had a great speaker – Craig Price, who was informative and very entertaining. Thanks Craig. Also, we had the best turnout of Past-Presidents that I can remember. There were 15 Past-Presidents in attendance. Several others had last minute obligations. All in all it was a great meeting, as you know, if you were there. After a nice long summer break, we will get back to it with our next meeting on September 3. The fall schedule is full and will be a lot of fun. The Golf tournament is coming in early November, and Kevin assures us that December is a good time to have our Christmas party (a running CSHA joke). But the next event that we need to be getting ready for is the Casino night. Paul Carter, Anthony Leidelmeyer and Eddie Mann are heading this up. The date is mid- September. Keep an eye on the website for a soon to be posted flier with details. Don’t miss this one. Bill Goulette CSHA President 2009 |
